I made it!

Well Matthew and I finally made it to New Mexico on Thursday afternoon.  So far we have had a blast! Today we went shopping for Christmas with my mom and my sister...it was so fun coming back to where I grew up and running into old friends. I am so excited for the rest of the two weeks I'm going to be here. I will try to keep up to date on the blogs of this vacation. The only thing I have to complain about is not having my husband here to share this awesome experience (and it is or first Christmas with Matthew :( and he can't be here). I already miss him terribly (pathetic huh). Well I will see him soon enough, hopefully the next blog will have some pictures.

Never ending snot and fevers:(

Well last week us three Dills were sick and Matthew had his first emergency visit when his temp. hit 103.8 . Poor little guy, he got the worst of it I think. He was up all night last night with a temp again, but I had better control this time and we started him on an antibiotic today. So, naturally, I am exhausted right now. But, the good news is next week Matthew and I are heading to New Mexico for two weeks and my twin said he was sending us a camera for Christmas (so I won't have to take crappy pictures with my phone). So that's all folks (for now).

UPDATE

Well, a lot has been going on in our little Dill family. Pictures will have to come later....for starters I hope everyone had a very happy Thankgiving! And as for Halloween, Matthew was a huge, overstuffed pumpkin. Nathan and I were farmers of course:) For Thanksgiving we had an awesome feast at Granny Fishers. During all this commotionMatthew has started to kind of crawl, yay! He doesn't get very far but it's a start, and before I know it I'm going to be baby proofing the place. Oh, and soon our lease is up and we can move (we tried to move earlier but were unsuccessful). That's it for now I will try to update more in the future, no promises though.

Crappiest week ever...just glad I'm alive

Well some of you have heard...Nathan and I were robbed last Friday. What makes the week worse is the same day our apartment was robbed, our electricity was turned off due to miscommunication. So the blog I wanted to post will never happen because our computer was stolen along with all of our pictures. But on the bright side, we are alive and unharmed. So what is the next Dill adventure....? Moving again, yay (I say that wiyh all the sarcasm in the world)! I will try to post a more positive blog next week maybe i can capture Matthew saying "Dadda" (He learned that word yesterday).

My little Dill-weed is growing....!

I know this picture is a "nude" picture but who doesn't have a picture of there child in the bath.....He was so cute and having so much fun that I couldn't resist. That, and it proves that I keep my tub clean ;)

Matthew's first attempt at feeding himself and his first solids, yay, another milestone!!!!!!!!

I took this picture when I was visiting Stillwater for my brother Seth's wedding! It could not be a more perfect day (for Oklahoma that is), the temperature was cool and there was NO wind...it was such a perfect fall day.

Ta dah!!! I made banana bread for the first time and it came out AWESOME if I do say so myself :) I even put my own twist on it and put a cinnamon/brown sugar strussel on top...it was so scrumptious.

Anyways, I have some cute pictures of Matthew and a couple of videos...sorry if the videos suck, I filmed him with my phone and people have been asking to see videos of him (Dina and Mom) and this is the best I could do, hope you enjoy.

Quircks

just got tagged in my first tag ever! This makes me so happy... so here goes:
THE RULES:
1. link the person who tagged you
2. post the rules
3. tell 6 unspectacular quirks of yours
4. tag 6 fellow bloggers by linking them. . .
1. I CAN'T stand it if my someone pushes down on the tips of my fingernails, my mother used to do this to me and Matthew will do it occasionally.
2. I hate when people interupt songs that I like, I'm very passionate about my music and I don't like it being interupted, so if someone is talking to me while a good song is on I WILL ignore that person until the song is over.
3. If someone is erasing something off the board they MUST erase EVERYTHING, it drives me crazy if someone leaves a speck on the board.
4. I have been told that I have a strange obsession with cheese. I guess I do LOVE the stuff.
5. Nathan figured out a quirk of mine...he figured out that by stroking my hair I instantly stop talking...he has used this technique at night when I won't shut-up.
6. The last quirk I can think of is....I really, really, cannot handle when someone sings Christmas carols in the summer or out of season... so please don't do it around me it's irritating.
well those are some of my quirks...and I choose to tag...Nola, Kathleen, Shawnee, Cheri, Annie, and Even (I doubt he will though he doesn't have a blog post yet but I couldn't think of anyone else).

Look at those big eyes (they are blue but you can't tell in this pic).

Yummy.....Fingers.....mmmmm!

No Pixs

Sorry no pics for a while, I'm using a community computer so no pics for now. Anyways, Matthew has succesfully rolled over from his belly to his back, Yay! Nothing new has really happened. I started reading the Twilight series. My sister in-law lend me the first book, but the library has a waiting list of EIGHT weeks for the second book. So, if anyone has the second book and can lend it to me, I would so appreciate it;) That's all I could think of for now, I will try to post some new pics of the "chunk" in the mean time.

Sorry

It has been a while since I blogged...so sorry. I haven't had any internet since the move (still no internet, I'm using the comunity computer at our apartment complex). Well, a lot has happened since I moved. For starters I am now 24 years old (birthday was on the 18th), Matthew has got a lot bigger! I think he is almost ready to roll over any day now. I started a new weight loss goal/program. I set a goal to lose 30 pounds and 17 inches by Halloween. I have to lose at least 2 pounds and half an inch every week to reach my goal. At my goal date I should weigh at least 125 and be a size 5....WISH ME LUCK!!! Anyways, Nathan hasn't had any luck finding a job (he still works for his friend mowing right now), hopefully after this week he will have succeeded.
More exciting news, Shawnee (my sister-inlaw) is getting married this week for time and eternity at the Oklahoma City temple!!!! Yay!!! We are super excited for her and her soon to be husband James. Now all I have to do is find some friends to hang out with here and I'll be happy as a clam. Hopefully we will have the internet soon and I will be able to keep you readers up to speed.

What's Your Favorite Memory about Me?

Alright Coty I love this idea....Okay okay already...i posted it, so have at it... ;)The
instructions are as follows:
1. As a comment on my blog, leave one memory that you and I had together. It doesn't matter if you knew me a little or a lot, anything you remember!
2. Next, re-post these instructions on your blog and see how many people leave a memory about you. It's actually pretty funny to see the responses. If you leave a memory about me, I'll assume you're playing the game and I'll come to your blog and leave one about you

Last Day of Work

Well,

I finally got pictures from my last day of work, it was the best last day ever. I also played my first prank on one of my co-workers, I didn't get along him with so much. For all you "Office" fans, I put my co-workers "Initec" mug in green jello :0 It was so fun. Anyways, about these pictures...The first picture is of me and my good friends from work, Michelle and Stacy. We became great friends in work and share a common obsession....Harry Potter. The other picture is me STANDING next to the TALLEST guys at my work, I look like I work in a land of giants. And instead of ordering pizza for lunch, we had sandwichs' oh how I love the sandwich!

Shots:(

Well yesterday was not the best for Matthew, and if my Matthew has a bad day....so do I. It started off with him being fussy, it was like he knew what was coming to him. And, it was immunization day for little Matthew. His first shots and he was already grumpy so I knew I was in for a really bad day. But, I tried to be optimistic and hope he would cheer up before we got ot the doctors. But Matthew insisted on be crabby, like he is now on my lap. Well, I was there in the little room holding Matthew and the doctor had me hold him down. If I thought he was crying then, this was nothing. The moment the needle went in his little leg, he was suddenly quiet. It was becuase he was crying so hard that he wasn't breathing. I absolutely hate those desperate cries. I was ok until the third shot. I couldn't take it after that and before I knew it we were crying together. The funny thing is he stopped crying before me. Needless to say he was miserable all day. but slept pretty good all night. The little tyke had such a long day that he slept really good last night. The good thing was he didn't get a fever from the shots:) I just held him ALL day and that made him happy (he wouldn't even let Daddy hold him).

Happy 4th

Here are some pictures of mi familia. We had the best time ever, and we all rarely get together like this....Oh how we love to laugh even when we are all sweating to death! Notice my almost naked baby? It was super hot...and that adorable little girl standing next to me is my niece Daisy Lynn, that is pretty much what I looked like when I was her age. And, the other baby girl posing next to Matthew and their grandparents is Emily Ruth and the most recent addition to the Welliver family.

Well it's official

So... I am officially a "stay at home" mom!!!!!!!!! I am so thrilled to be home, I did love my part-time job but I love Matthew so, so ,so much more and this line of work is so much more rewarding. So far for the first day I LOVE IT!!!! I just put Matthew down for a nap, and now I get to blog without wondering where my boss is. I will get fourth of July pictures up shortly and we can see awesome pics of the family;)

OUCH!

Ok, are you ready for a memorable embarrasing moment! Well I have a great one to tell all of you readers.
It all happened at the movie theater. Nathan, Kathleen (my sister), and I decided to go see Kungfu Panda (great and hilarious movie by the way). We got to the theater 30 minutes early, so Kathleen and I went into another theater to watch the Hulk, which no one was in but they were playing it anyway (did I mention we went to an afternoon showing). Anyways, I looked down at my phone and realized our movie was about to start. So, I started running to the other movie....BIG MISTAKE! Mainly because I was wearing a skirt and flip-flops which is a bad combination for running. I running down the ramp to get to my seat, when all of a sudden my shoe bent in mid stride and got caught on the carpet. And, with a skirt on I couldn't stretch my leg out far enough to catch myself so I flew in the air for a second and then skid of my knee, then my elbow, then my wrist...I almost face-planted but luckly I wasn't running fast enough to do that. Needless to say I have a really, really bad carpet burn. Also, I got lucky because the only person in the theater besides me was Nathan and he didn't see or hear anything and the people walking behind me didn't come into the theater until right after I stood up and straightened my skirt. So I guess it could have been a lot more embarrasing. When I told Nathan he couldn't stop laughing....Oh I can't believe I tripped over my own feet :( Well I hope you had a good laugh at my expence...and I am doing fine I think my pride got the most damage.

Little giggles

So we finally got Matthew to giggle!!! It wasn't a full blown laugh but I don't think he is old enough for that yet. It was the cutest thing ever. And of course the one who got him to giggle was Nathan. He definately loves his daddy, he is the goofy, funny one right now. Hopefully that will change because I love to make kids laugh especially my own.

Sad news.

Well it is official, our family is MOVING out of Stillwater. Nathan accepted a voluntary lay off
and his last day at Mercruiser is Friday. After living in Stillwater for eleven years, it is a bittersweet feeling. The bitter feeling is the fact that I have been wanting to leave Stillwater these past two years and of course I finally made some close friends and I have to leave. But, the SWEET feeling, is after two years, my wish is finally coming true. And, I am moving to a place where no one knows my "business." I am not afraid of change so this move is pretty exciting to me. I love to meet new people and as a bonus we are moving to Midwest City which is where Nathan grew up. I am going to miss all my friends and family here in Stilly so for those of you who READ THIS, I love you and miss you and I have had an awesome eleven years thanks to you. So all I have left to say in this blog is....XOXOXOXOXOXOXOXOXOXOXOXOXOXOXOXOX (sorry if I left anyone out of my hugs and kisses ;)

Alright....Progress!

So...I LOST 5 POUNDS!!!!!!!!!! How exciting, I never knew I would be so excited over losing five pounds before. But, after having a baby and still feeling like a whale, losing that little bit of weight is a huge acomplishment. Those of you who have just had babies, you know what I'm talking about. Anyways, after seeing the scale this morning I had to celebrate. And, how do you celebrate losing weight? Going shopping and eating something totally unhealthy. Well, this day has definately made my month way better. This is one of the only good things that happened this month. (1st) I had to go back to work part time this month, which means six hours a day away from Matthew :( (2nd) Nathan might be laid off from Mercruiser since they are downsizing. They are getting rid of at least 100 employees. Which might mean we have to move where Nathan can get work with decent pay (Oh the sadness).
But, there have been good things that happened...like Fathers Day, and my sister Kathleen is staying with us for all of June (she is a huge help around here). And the coolest thing that happened this month is Matthew learned how to smile. He is adorable!

Children

Children are the greatest blessing anyone can ask for. Nathan and I have never been happier and we thank our Heavenly Father every day for this beautiful child we have been given. We have had the best time watching him grow everyday. I never thought I would ever get so excited over something so simple as a smile. I added these "babies laughing" videos because I love hearing a child laugh. Baby laughter is more contagious than the flu. Even if I am having a horrible day, if I just here one little laugh, I can't help but smile ear to ear....and I can't wait to put up videos of little Matthew laughing up a storm. So if you are ever in need of a smile or a laugh, just hear those babies laugh (I promise it will make your day).
