Hoping for a better weekend....

With all that's been going on, I forgot to blog about last weekend. Most of you know that Nathan's twin sister and two children were in a bad car accident while they were visiting in Oklahoma from Nebraska. For those of you who don't know, she and the kids miraculously walked away from a TERRIBLE crash. Her car lost control on a dirt road, flipped over, and as she tried to free herself and her children, the car was on fire (something you only hear/see on movies). Luckily the worst injury out of all of them was her son having a jammed thumb. But, after that (which was on a friday), our weekend kind of got worse. You see, a few weeks ago I purchased some tickets to go to the circus (none of us have ever been). We were going to go last Saturday afternoon. But we were in Stillwater visiting Nathans family after that aweful event friday evening. So we didn't leave Stillwater until 10 min. before 1:00. Which meant we didn't get into the City until 2:00 (which is when one of the three shows on Sat. started). I didn't care about being a few minutes late. But, Nathan is all about punctuallity so he wanted to go at the 7:30 pm show. The only problem with that is it's 30 min. before the kids bedtime. Soooo, we went. Here are some pix of the elephants.......

About 10 minutes after arriving, both children were SUPER cranky and as a result so were Nathan and I. After being there 30 minutes he wanted to leave. But I wasn't about waste $20.00 for 30 minutes of whining children (that includes Nathan LOL). So we stayed the ENTIRE 2 1/2 hours!!!! And I enjoyed almost the entire thing. The kids finally stopped whining towards the end it was a fantastic show. Maybe next time someone will listen to me and we will go in the afternoon, regardless if we are late. Ha ha ha. I do love my husband immensly, it was just one of those weekends when nothing was working. And on top of it this is how behind I am with the house chores......

......that's a TRUCK load of laundry that needs to be folded and put away....better get to it I guess, cause it's not going to fold itself. And, hey, at least I FINALLY finished the 4 loads of dishes! One big accomplishment down, a few more to go. So I am going to tackle that laundry with full blast music and dancing hips. ;)

A little bit o F.Y.I.

Just a little blog on what is going on in the Dill house hold...

as you know Nathan and I have been married four wonderful years. The last year has been hard but so worth the sacrifice.  For those of you who do not know, Nathan has been going to school for almost 13 months to be an Aronautic Maintainance Technician (AMT or Air plane mechanic). He has a little over 5 months to go. What has been so hard, is he works nights; Sunday night to Saturday morning (8pm-7am), then he goes to school; Monday through Friday (8am-2pm). Which, gives him roughly 5 hours of sleep a day. Regardless ...we don't see him much (20 min. a day at the most except Sunday at church, which I only see him during Sacrament meeting because they just put me in the Nursery). So, yes it's been hard. But, like I said, so worth it!!! With his new career, most starting positions start at $25hr. Which is more than he makes now.........
So, there might be some changes in housing in the near future! Nathan has been a real trooper through this aweful schedule. And regardless of how exhausted he is, he still finds time to be with his children and have conversations with me. He loves his family and is very patient with us (especially on days when the house is a wreck and the kids are unusually loud). I love my Nathan bacon (he hates when I call him that he says it doesn't rhyme lol) with all my heart. He is my best friend and the best father our kids could ask for. He makes me laugh constantly and loves me even when we annoy eachother......
Now on to Matthew. He is a really good toddler who does what I ask 90% of the time. He does not test me much, of which I am extremely thankful for. He is definitely a joy in our household. He LOVES trains, plains, and Toy Story. He also LOVES to sing and sometimes wakes up singing. :) He is turning 3, May 1st. My how time flies. He loves his Daddy and Mommy and Sister. He constantly looks out for her and loves to share with her (unless she tries to play with his trains, that's when the fights break out, LOL)....
Speaking of his sister, Kylie is growing up sooo fast. She is talking a lot for her age. She LOVES shoes and pretty much anything girly. But she doesn't mind getting dirty either. :) She LOVES LOVE LOVES her Daddy and has him wrapped around her little finger. She is also very stubborn and is the one who likes to test me, but overall she is very sweet and loves to cuddle. She absolutely loves her big brother and loves her "Mimi" (that's what she calls me). She also LOVES slides and running and CLIMBING. She climbs on everything. She is also a big joy in our family. I just love both my kids little personalities.
As for me, I am taking a little break on having children and concentration on the munchkins I have now. I am also focusing on my artistic talents and learning more about sewing. I am still working on illustrations for the childrens book my aunt and uncle wrote. And, that's about all I can think about. Hope you enjoyed my little schpeal. :)
