Matthew is FINALLY WALKING!!!!!!!!!

Matthew has finally taken his first steps on his own and here is a little clip to prove (he did it just in time for his first birthday...which is tomorrow). We plan on cutting his hair for the first time, and having the traditional chocolate cake eating. Oh this video is a little late, he has been walking (without our motivation) since Sunday!!!Yay!!!!

Long time, no write

Sorry for the months of no blogging....Tiredness and fatigue has been my constant companion lately. Much has happened, for starters, Nathan and I celebrated our second wedding anniversary! It was very very nice. And, hopefully next year I won't be pregnant for once. Secondly, Matthew has almost started walking and on May first he will be ONE! He also finally broke teeth (two bottom teeth to be exact). We are excited for Easter to come and we thoroughly enjoyed General Conference yesterday. Well that is all for now, I know it's short, but it's late and I don't have any pictures... and I don't like posting long blogs without pics. So, until next time.....Laterz

Well, things have been a little hectic around here, which is why it has been so long since I blogged....Sorry. First off, we finally moved into our duplex...its really cute, I would have taken pictures of it but our little Matthew got a hold of our camera and broke the shutter. Luckily, I did get some important pictures taken before the camera was ruined (we are going to take it in to get fixed by the way). This first picture is the pic I sent in to Regis and Kelly Live Most Beautiful Baby Contest! There are a LOT of entries, hopefully he will win.

And on to another adventure....Getting Matthew on a sleep pattern so he will sleep through the night. The only way to accomplish that is to have him cry himself to sleep....Lately, however, this is how we find him when he finally stops crying. LOL Bless his heart...Oh and that is his upper lip hanging over the crib bumber. Hehehehehe

And this last picture I am not going to explain....hopefully you can figure out for yourself what this "stick" means.

Well that's all the craziness I can come up with for now, we'll see what next week brings the Dill family.

"Walkin' in a Winter Wonder Land...."
Oklahoma finally saw a glimpse of winter this month.
And Matthew got to see "snow" for the first time (it was really ice but he doesn't know the difference, it's white and different and that is all that matters).

(This is a tree right outside our apartment, I thought it looked pretty cool)

My mountain Man :)

I had to let him feel that coldness (don't worry he wasn't touching it for that long)...this kid definately loves the outdoors, he loved every minute outside in the bitter cold.

Proof that he was extatic

Let's climb a tree......

And this is Matthew saying, "Man, I LOVE this. Let's stay out here forever!"
Well, he didn't say that out loud but he was definately thinking it. He really did enjoy this beautiful day. I am so blessed to have such an awesome baby who loves everything and is so full of life...I am also very thankful for this touch of WINTER we had, it was a lot of fun. Looking at the beauty of the ice and snow makes you WONDER, how can there not be a GOD? I thank him so much for all he has given us especially for the beauty of the Earth/LAND!

What a Weekend

Lots happened this past weekend...I took a ton of pictures and it was hard to choose only a select few (if my internet was running better/faster I would add all of them). It started with my twin brother Nick coming home from Iraq for a couple of weeks (then he returns for four more months), as a result my brothers and I all got together to hang out like we used to (wich is somewhat rare). It was extremely fun, I forget how funny my brothers are when they all get together. Another event that happened is my sister in-law Shawnee, her husband James, Nathan and I all got together on Sunday to celebrate their mothers birthday. Shawnee made a delicious spaghetti pie (it was awesome), and I made a 3D Hershey Kiss Cake (pics below). We had a lot of fun this weekend and made many new AWESOME memories...NOW ON TO THE PICTURES!!!!......

My three military brothers all standing at attention....neat.

Mikes WHOLE family....they don't have a picture of the whole family since their new addition, Emily so I gathered them up and snapped this nice family photo for them.

Seth and Bethany, and their "family".......(smoochie, smoochie)

.....and the little one on the way, for those wondering, they are having a girl in March and I think they are naming her Atison (I might be way off though).

A nice picture of three of my brothers (my two other brothers are in New Mexico and Nevada).

I LOVE THESE PICTURES OF OUR LITTLE DILL FAMILY!!!!!!!!!!!!

The infamous Dill family pose....KISS KISS (Dill sandwich).

Aren't we SOOOOOOOOO cute! (Thank you Seth for taking these for us)

NOW ON TO THE CAKE....AREN'T YOU EXCITED?!
Matthew got to lick the batter, And boy did he love it!

This is an arial view of my cake, I used four different cake pans with different sizes.....

.....then I stacked them up, shaped them with a serraded knife and frosted.....

.....Tada, Hershey Kiss CAke...and that's not all, what's a Hershey Kiss without the paper and foil?...........

And ThE FinIshEd ProDuCt!!!!!!!!!!!!

It was a lot of fun making this and even more fun eating it....hope you enjoyed this little treat of a post :)

My poor sick child

I don't know how mothers with more than one child can handle sick children. Matthew has been really sick this past week (videos and pictures below to prove it) and with that has come no sleep for either of us. He kept me up many nights so far crying non stop and all I could do is rock him back and forth, it is exhausting. Now that I have taken him to the doctor and found out that he has a really bad ear infection (of which he showed no signs of whatsoever....tough little guy) and bad congestion and drainage, it got me thinking. What on earth am I going to do when I have more than one. There is no way I will have the energy to not only take care of a sick baby, but run after a toddler too. This scares me....if there are any mothers with more than one child, and has been through the sick child and toddler deal please...I could use some advise or reassurance that it is possible. I am not complaining, I think Matthew has been a REALLY good baby considering how much pain he has been in. I am just saying, I am the type of person that can't function AT ALL without enough sleep. This I might have to say was harder than labor and delivery. LOL (All I can do is laugh at this point right)!!! But, if you are concerned, Matthew is doing great (the antibiotic is kicking his illnesses booty), he is actually sleeping, eating, and drinking fluids now that his throat and ear doesn't hurt as much. Of course now I have the crappy bug, but I think my defenses are a little better than his so I will be ok (thanks for reading this incredibly LONG entry as a reward here are some pics and a couple of videos).

He has ooze coming out of every hole on his face.....EWE, But he can still pull it off (even with the lazy eye). Oh how he makes me laugh.

This is what a baby with an ear infection and sickness looks and sounds like.....and who does he call for when he is sick (not mama like you would think, right, dada is the winner...really I am. Once he got tired of playing with daddy, he came straight to me)

(And I know I have Buggs Bunny teeth at the end of this video...who cares it is supposed to be about Matthew anyways :)

Cuddling with my baby.....I love him soooo much! I wish I could take the sickness away and give it to me (Oh wait that did happen LOL). And, I know he is shirtless but he had a high fever, better safe than sorry, right.
