It's been way, way too long!

Well....Happy Thanksgiving, Merry Christmas, and Happy New Year!!!!!! I know it's been FOREVER, but I have been extremely busy. Now that the holidays are pretty much over, I finally have time to sit down and blog. So...here it goes. I have tons of pics a tons to talk about. First off this first pic. is my homemade apple cinnamon pie, from scratch that I made for our first Thanksgiving feast (we went to to dinners by the way).

This is Nathan for some yummy turkey....not sure what he's doing here....

Granny's oh so delicious homemade rolls these always go first.
....mmmmmmm....turkey..........
.........and all the fixins :)
So that was November, and now comes December and all its glory. Ev
en though Nathan and I are going on three years of marriage, this is actually the first time we really got to celebrate together with our kids. So I am trying to start some of our own family traditions. First we made some sugar cookies (trains of course...that is Matthew's favorite).

Matthew had lots of fun and definately enjoyed these cookies. We made a huge mess and had great laughs.

Kylie sittin up and watching. She has grown so much. She laughs and is super ticklish (gets that from her mama).
Well after making sugar cookies, I had to put the traditions aside and focus on our ward Christmas activity. My calling in the ward is assistant ward activities director. I felt we needed to bring the spirit of Christmas to our ward (especially since our wards were combined)....so I decided to bring Bethlehem to Midwest City. And our Activities director decided to give the whole activity plan and conducting to me. Well, with an 18 month old and a 2 month old, that is a rather hard task to perform...but I succeeded (with LOTS of help from my visiting teachers and friends from our playgroup, Nathan and his Dad). Still, I was way stressed out, I wanted to pull my hair out (all 14 inches or so). Yes, it had been almost TWO whole years since cutting sheers had touched my long long hair. So, having the most awesome husband ever, he told me to go cut it off. And so, FOUR hours and EIGHT inches later.... this is what happened.

Don't you just LOVE LOVE LOVE it? Cause I do!!!!!!!!!!! And just a quick cute story about my hair cute adventure......I decided to donate my thick mop to "Locks of Love." Well it took my hairdresser three rubber bands to bind my long thick, rope of hair. After she did so, she set it on the counter to donate later...well another hairdresser walked by and just screamed and then started laughing histerically and asked her what happened. She pointed at my ponytale on the counter and said through laughs and giggles, "I thought it was a dead squirrel on your counter." I was a little embarrassed but at the situation but at the same time thrilled that, that dead squirrel was off my head. Moving on.... so the activity I planned for our ward was "A Night in Bethlehem." Basically we made the gym into a market place and had everyone buy there food with fake money and sit on the floor to eat (because there was no room in the inn). After everyone ate, we had a live nativity (so that it felt like you were present at Christ's birth). 15 years or so ago my ward in New Mexico did this activity and it was so spiritual and awesome, I had to do it again the first chance I got. I didn't get enough pictures (I was too busy), but Nathan snapped these of us setting up the gym and stage for everything. Oh, and to make it more realistic, everyone dressed up in biblical attire, and we ate some "Jewish" and biblical type food.... Here are a couple booths for the market and a palm tree....

setting up the stage and manger...........
I was very glad when the activities were over so I could consentrate on my family.
Here is our first Christmas tree with our many gifts to give eachother.
And, the best gift ever...... A WHITE CHRISTMAS!!!!!!! I think it was my first white Christmas but I could be wrong. This is the only one I remember though.

Midwest City got a good 14 inches or so....
It got much higher than this

This is a Christmas tradition my mother did every Christmas morning....Cinnamon Toast and homemade hot chocolate...YUMMMMMM OOOO!!!!! (We were too excited as kids to eat more than this, smart thinkin mom :)
Here is Matthew opening his presents...he got trains, planes, and......a motorcyle.

Kylie chillin out and watching us make a mess of the living room.

Some of my gifts, a movie, Ross gift card, mixing bowls, a cutting board....and the most important...a SEWING MACHINE (of course I did not get a picture of it...sorry).
And the rest are of Matthew being cute and happy! Hope you enjoy.

The Blog You've All Been Waiting for....

Here she is folks!!!! Kylie Eloysa Dill was born on October 2, 2009 at 3:30 in the afternoon. She weighed a huge 6 pounds and 8 ounces...I know, I have tiny babies (definately not complaining since I got her out in two pushes)! We are very excited to have her here finally. Sorry It has taken me so long to announce her home coming but I have been busy and tired.

Well, I downloaded these next pictures out of order but whatever, I don't have time to fix it....This is the most recent picture of Kylie holding her head up already...kind of. She is about five weeks in this picture......

.....here is my lady in red...this skirt is soooo cute (thanks Christine)....

Here is November 1st when Kylie was blessed, Granny Fisher made the dress for her, it's so beautiful (doesn't she look great in purple).....

And here is her first halloween, she was a kitten but I think the costume kind of looked like a skunk after I put it on her. LOL!!! Oh well......

.....and last but not least, I couldn't leave Matthew out, here is his Halloween costume. If you can't tell, he is a dalmation puppy. He was super cute. We had a blast and Matthew couldn't get enough candy. Well that's all I have time for folks. I will try to post again soon but I'm not making any promises...enjoy.

BELATED post

This post is a week late but at least I am getting it done. Last week was Nathan's 31st Birthday, and since we are pressed for money I had to get creative. First, I sent him on a scavenger hunt in the house. I had 31 clues for him and inside every clue was a heart, and on that heart was a reason I loved him. While he was doing this, Matthew and I went to Little Ceasars and picked up some pizza and a Mountain Dew (both his favorite).... and met Nathan at the park across the street from our house (which is where the last clue led him). I had a picnic table set up with wine glasses (for the Mountain Dew), table cloth, place mats, and napkins. And waiting for him there besides us and the pizza was this picture of Matthew and I we took at Boomer Lake while visiting Stillwater for the weekend (thanks James for distracting Nathan while we took this, and thank you Shawnee for taking the picture and printing it out, and thank you Dina for helping me touch up the photo). We had an awesome time and Nathan loved every part of it. Happy very Belated Birthday Nathan and Christine. :)

July Post!

I know it has been WAY to long since my last post but there has been a LOT going on....so I am going to post from July 4th to this past weekend!

Here is Matthew LOVING his new ($5.00) pool. Such a sweet smile he had a "blast splashin around."

Here we are celebratin Independence day in our RED, WHITE, AND BLUE. I Love dressing up for the fourth, and I even got Nathan to play along (isn't he cute).

We also invited our good friends the Choates to have a traditional 4th of July barbeque. Thanks Calista, Jason and Kaylena for making the day sooo fun (even with the crazy storm that came out of nowhere).

Matthew and Kaylena posing for us, they kind of had a hard time cooperating but they were really cute.

After the storm passed, we risked walking to Regional Park to catch the fireworks show....it was awesome and Matthew actually loved it....this was the best picture I could get.

The weekend after the fourth, Nathan had free tickets to three Redhawk baseball games. It was also Matthews first baseball game (and mine I think). It was HOT!!!!!!!!! But really fun at the same time.

Matthew and I posing with the Redhawk mascot. (Thank goodness Matthew didn't get scared).

While at the Friday night baseball game, we received free tickets to go see the National Wakeboarding Competition. It was sooo HOT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I only lasted about twenty minutes and begged Nathan for us to leave.....

....and of course as we are leaving the competitors finally started to do some wicked awesome tricks, unfortunately this is the best picture I could get... the boat. Later that afternoon Nathan and his dad went to the noon baseball game, then we had dinner, and Nathan and I went to the last game that night (just the two of us). It was exhausting but a lot of fun.

The weekend following the baseball games (which was this past Friday, Saturday and Sunday), we had a little family reunion and the first thing we did was go to the Oklahoma City Zoo on Friday (the admission was FREE, how sweet is that?). I couldn't help but take this picture of the deer (he is squating and taking a leak hahahahaha, well I thought it was funny)...............the bison ....
....the bear.....

..... last but not least, Emmy trying to get into the fish tank, she is so cute. They had some crazy looking fish in that tank.

That is all the pictures I had but a lot more happened last weekend (being pregnant I kept forgetting to take pictures). After the zoo, we went to Teds Escondido in Edmond (it was delicious as usual). The day after the zoo we went to WhiteWater Bay and had a wonderfu time getting wet....and sunburned (it did not matter how much sunscreen we slathered on, most of us got burned somehow). After WhiteWater, we went to Pizza Shuttle in Norman and had some awesome pizza. We also celebrated my 25th birthday, Nathans family TOTALLY suprised me which is hard to do I can usually catch on when something sneaky is going on. I think this is the first time I have ever been genuinly and completely suprised. We had cake and a lot of fun. Sunday we relaxed, had a good dinner/lunch, and said our goodbyes. So far it has been a FANTASTIC month of July!

Well Happy Fathers Day  to all you dads out there! Especially to my Dad and my husband Nathan. Today was a super fun and great Fathers Day . It started out with letting Nathan sleep in while I made him a scrumptious breakfast which included: eggs, peppered bacon, orange juice and yogurt with fresh blueberries and strawberries.  I also gave him and awesome home-made card that had our children's signatures.... which meant that I picked a name for a little girl, and I decided to go with his preferred name. So, her name will be: Kylie Eloysa Dill, he likes that name and Eloysa is my Grandmothers name.  And, the gift he received from us was a briefcase for church, which was much needed! Now, he just had an early dinner and is taking a well deserved nap. A great way to end an awesome day for an awesome dad.

Memorial weekend at Michigan...best Vacation ever

Well we had the funnest vacation ever at Michigan....we left Oklahoma early on Friday morning and stayed until early Tuesday morning. We jam packed a weks worth of fun in only a few days. At the end we were exhausted, but it was worth it. I would definately love to go back to that beautiful state again. Here are tons of pictures and a video of our awesome vacation (The people that we shared this vacation with was Bruce Dill (Granpa Dill), Gary B. Dill (the Dad), Nola, Nathan, Matthew, Chrisine, Emmi, and Sterling Wallace, James and Shawnee Scifres, Josh and Dina Wray, Brayden Dill, and myself ).

I know this is kind of a silly picture of Matthew but I just wanted to capture how green and pretty the grass is in MichiganThese are "lillies of the valley" they are beautiful, smell devine, and grow like weeds there...

Sterling, Matthew, and Nathan wrestling at Granpa Dills in Holt, Michigan....

Emmi and Matthew having the time of their lives

This is a cute little village near Traverse City that we shopped and walked around at...it was sooo much fun! Here is Granpa Dill with Nathan, Josh, Emmi, and Matthew....Look at those redheads.

The guys giving us girls a break and carrying the kiddos...this was nice.

This is a picture of the lake we hung out at near the village....the next few pics are of us at this same lake.
Christine and Emmi lovin the sand.....

Cute picture of Brayden.....playing in the sand

Emmi being cute as usual....I love her hair in this picture.

Sterling playing in the sand....

Matthew loving the rocks....

Nathan and Matthew bonding, Nathan was trying to teach him how to skip rocks.

Josh and Dina......they are so cute, I had other cute pictures of them, but no time to post.

Shawnee and James....awe they make a cute couple

After visiting the village we went to another part of Lake Michigan and this picture doesn't give it justice, but there was a very steep hill that decended all the way to the lake....James, Josh, and Christine went all the way to the bottom...so Shawnee and I decided to join them when they got to the bottom. 3/4ths of the way down Christine talked Shawnee and I out of going down the whole way and we were super glad we didn't go all the way, because the climb up was INSANE...but a great work out at the same time. I still feel the burn in my calves today.

This is the video where James, Josh, Dina, Nathan, and Christine jumped into the FREEZING, Lake Michigan! I also happened to get Christine losing her class ring in the lake (what I didn't capture is all of them staying in the lake for an additional ten minutes, looking for the ring).
