Lots to blog about

To start off, I had an AMAZING weekend!! Nathan and I have never had such a fun time in our lives. We also have never laughed so hard before. :)  We started the weekend by dropping the kids off at Granny's in Stillwater (where they had a blast by the way). That was Thursday. Then on Friday morning Nathan got home from work and went to sleep, and I went to get my hair cut. It turned out super CUTE! Then we went shopping for Nathan so he could look good for dinner. LOL We then got all dressed up and went to Mickey Mantel's in bricktown. It was amazing!!! Although we did spend over $100 on dinner, it was worth it to spoil ourselves for once (in my case it was the first time I allowed myself to spoil us). Then I reserved a night at a cute B&B where I suprised Nathan with a special order of sparkling grape juice and chocolate cover strawberries. It was crazy romantic and we loved it. On Saturday the B&B brought us breakfast in bed which was delicious. Then we checked out and went to Celebration Station for a few hours. And that was an adventure in itself. LOL The Lord was definitely looking out for us that day. We decided to ride go karts most of the day. And, the first ride of the karts, we were in line with a bunch of 12 year old girls. One happened to be the birthday girl. This girl was TERRIBLE at go karting and my guess is this was her first time. Because she couldn't even get up the hill until the workers told her to push down on the green peddle (the gas hahahaha). Well after this incident, things weren't so funny. Oh and I should tell you that we were going to ride with this group in a double passenger go kart because all of the singles were taken. Well, at the get go, our go kart kept dying, and then the worker tried one last time to start it up and the starter cord broke. Which meant we couldn't ride and had to wait in line for the next go around.

Well, the birthday girl kept running into other go karts and into the side railings...so the workers had to stop the race early and asked all of the girls to park their karts. Well the "birthday girl" still wasn't understanding the workers and thought she could go another lap while the others parked. She was the last one to come into the lane and was going pretty fast, and the workers were screaming for her to slow down but she panicked and hit the gas instead of the break and she hit a curb going FULL speed. So to make this long story shorter, the workers had to call the ambulance because she had really bad whip lash and couldn't move her toes. :( So Nathan and I had to wait a half hour before they opened up the go karts again. Besides that fiasco, we had the time of our lives this past weekend!!!
Now on to the rest of this blog....and that's weight loss!!! So, to start I will confess that the first picture of this blog is of me at my heaviest. Right after having my daughter Kylie, I weighed a whopping 198 lbs!!! Two weeks later I lost a lot of water weight 20+ pounds or so. So, that put me at about 175 lbs. Well, I weighed that much for about a year because I can't lose weight when I breastfeed (trust me I tried). As soon as I cut down on breastfeeding and Kylie started eating solids (around nine months), I started to workout, didn't lose anyweight though because as I said before, I was breastfeeding. In the pix of my sister and I, it was last June and I still weighed 175. I also started working out right after this trip. As soon as Kylie turned 1 year old, I quit breastfeeding, and worked out like a mad women (average of 4 hours a day). In three months I lost 30 pounds. Then, life got crazy and I stopped. But, my motabalism is back to normal and I lost an additional 15 lbs on my own without working out. So, I can now say that I went from a size 16/17 to a size...................................................
....................................................................SIX!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Tada!!!! Who is that hott mama? Oh that's me! YAY!!!! It's about time, it only took me 2 1/2 years!!!! LOL Sorry if I sound arogant or egotistical, but I have never acheived such an awesome goal. I just about never stay focused enough to acheive something like this. So, yeah I am a little bit proud of myself. And, for the first time EVER I actually feel attractive and pretty. That has never happened. Well, I am finished being totally honest and personal. And, sorry it was so long but I couldn't leave out all those details. :)

It does sound like someone was watching out for you with that crazy 12 year old! I'm glad you had such a great weekend. And I don't think you're being arrogant at all... you deserve to brag to your hearts content. You seriously look great and I'm so happy for you.

And can I say, on the bright side, you might not lose weight while nursing, but you can nurse forever! I have theorized that I lose the weight too fast and can't breastfeed past one month - it sucks (and I'm complaining that I can't breastfeed, not about losing the weight).

Nichole, you are so HOTT MAMA!!! Way to go! I know how hard it is to lose weight while breastfeeding... Even NOT breastfeeding, right after a baby, it takes my body atleast a year to get back to normal. It's a big struggle. So, I'd just like to say how AMAZING that accomplishment is.
And congratulations to you and Nathan; y'all make a great couple. I didn't realize all the struggles you both have faced trying to get through school. That's got to be really rough, but you have such a positive attitude about it, and that's the best way to be.

Your doing great. Keep blogging, and maybe someday I'll catch up :(
